Research description: My research focuses on the functional morphology and evolution of primate locomotor adaptations. The methods I employ include quantitative, comparative analysis of musculoskeletal morphology in extant and extinct primates and biomechanical analysis of primate locomotion. I have particular interest and expertise in the functional morphology and evolution of the vertebral musculoskeletal system in primates, and the biomechanics, ontogeny and evolution of primate quadrupedal locomotion.
